February Introduction: Edmonton

Godly Play:

Godly Play is an exciting approach to engage biblical story. Originally developed 

for children (3-12), this method is now in use with people of all ages and stages. 

Explaining Godly Play is difficult, so we encourage you to experience a full 

session, which is best learned from the inside out! As facilitators, we will offer a 

prayerful and playful atmosphere which is collegial and non-judgmental to do

this work together.

We invite you to join us to discover this method in an Introductory Workshop, 

from 930am to 400pm on Saturday, February 9, 2012, at Southminster-
Steinhauer United Church, Edmonton. The cost for the day is $75.00, and 
includes everything you need for the day (handouts, stories, workshop supplies,
facilitation, space, morning coffee, lunch, and work materials). 

Do consider joining us to experience a simple and exciting approach that 

honours the power of sacred story, imagination, and Spirit! In the process, 

together we will:

• learn about and work with the spoken and unspoken lesson;
• learn about and practice how you and others can support the circle of children;
• practice working with the stories and materials; 
• encounter a Godly Play classroom; and
• build community.
